ESPD Question 4C.1.2: — the purpose of this contract is to put in place a bespoke support service for initially one individual with highly complex needs and challenging behaviors. — the council may seek to add up to three additional service users over the life of the contract dependent on suitability, compatibility and risk considerations. — the provider will require to evidence and demonstrate proven experience in the support and management of people who present with significant challenging behaviors and will have an established infrastructure that can deliver bespoke interventions that are flexible and will accommodate the unpredictable needs of this individual. — this may include non-traditional forms of interventions including supine restraint. — the provider should be able to demonstrate other forms of interventions such as redirection that will minimise the need to utilize a restraint model and which will improve the quality of life and reduce the risk for the service users.
