Tender description

The main aim of the Criminal Justice Framework is to enable Glasgow City Council to meet its statutory obligations in respect of Criminal Justice and to provide services that contribute to making Glasgow a Safer and Stronger Community. In doing so we will contribute to the following National Outcomes: We live our lives safe from crime, disorder and danger. We have strong, resilient and supportive communities where people take responsibility for their own actions and how they affect others. Our public services are high quality, continually improving, efficient and responsive to local people's needs. It is our expectation that all Purchased Criminal Justice Services, will sit within the Criminal Justice Framework. It is envisaged the Framework will consist of 4 Lots organised around the following activities: 1. Community Sentencing. 2. Accommodation and Support/Tenancy Sustainment. 3. Early Intervention and Prevention. 4. Specialist Services. Purchased Criminal Justice Services as may be required to meet the Council's obligations under The Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995. Purchased Criminal Justice Services that assist the Council to meet its obligations under The Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005. Purchased Criminal Justice Services as required to meet statutory obligations under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 and The Management of Offenders etc.(Scotland) Act 2005. Purchased Criminal Justice Services as required that will contribute to Early Intervention and Prevention from Re-offending and that will assist the Council meeting duties under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.
