TfL are looking to engage with a Contractor for the supply of three types of body end panel assemblies, forming one end of a car along with associated components for the Central Line Rolling Stock. This is a voluntary notice; the purpose of the Prior Information Notice is to notify interested parties of this upcoming opportunity. It is TfL's intention to commence the full selection process (OJEU) in February 2018. Interested parties should register their interest via gemmaobrien@tfl.gov.uk by 24.12.2017. The initial registration of interest should take the following format and state: 1) Company name 2) Key contact name and contact details 3) Advise whether, in their professional opinion, the existing tooling can be utilised or whether they would be likely to offer an alternative solution? 4) Do you have previous experience in delivering similar requirements, if so please give details. The number of body ends to be modified is in the range of 600 (min) to 680 (max) for the period August 2018 to October 2019 and then an on-going ad hoc arrangement, for additional spares and float. There are three designs of body ends: Cab Middle Shunting driving end Quantities of each Body End Panel will be confirmed within the ITT. Owing to the previous works, TfL currently own the tooling for the fabrication of the Body End Panels. It is assumed that utilising this existing tooling would be the most cost effective and timely way of delivering this requirement. However, if Contractors are able to offer an alternative solution, which meets with the Programme timelines, TfL will consider this option.
