Tender description

Hywel Dda UHB requested proposals from suitable qualified and registered independent Health Care providers for the delivery of ophthalmic services within the providers own facilities. The successful provider is required to carry out the following care pathway; pre-op assessment, minor surgery, namely Cataract Surgery and post-op service. Hywel Dda UHB requested proposals from suitable qualified and registered independent Health Care providers for the delivery of ophthalmic services within the providers own facilities and within 50 miles of the Health Board borders. The service to be carried out by the successful supplier will include the provision pre-op assessment, minor surgery, namely Cataract Surgery and post-op services. The post-op service will entail nursing staff to contact patients post op to check for any complications. It is estimated that there will be approximately 750 referrals through the course of the contract. This contract will be in place for 5 months; from November 2017 until 31.3.2018. There will however, be an option to extend for an additional 6 months, or 50 % of the original value, should the need arise.
