Tender description
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) during 2018 will be procuring its Healthy Child Programme currently delivered separately as 0-5 Health Visiting and 5-19 School Nursing services as an integrated 0-19 Healthy Child Provision. The service will take a multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring that health and wellbeing support to children, young people and families in the borough is joined up and effective across the whole journey from conception through birth and early years into young adulthood. The service will take a multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring that health and wellbeing support to children, young people and families in the borough is joined up and effective across the whole journey from conception through birth and early years into young adulthood. During the spring and summer of 2018 LBBD intends to remodel its children and family health improvement services to provide a new integrated 0-19 Family Health and Wellbeing Service. The new service will be expected to join up with a number of council led services such as Children's Centres, Healthy Lifestyles Services and Baby Intervention. The Council invites suitably qualified service providers to attend a market engagement event where it will present a new model for the integrated provision of child and family health improvement services in the borough and to have a discussion with current and potential providers of these services from all sectors. The event will be held between 13:00 and 15:30 on Monday 18.12.2017 at Committee Room 2, Barking Town Hall Barking, IG11 7LU. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided from 12:30. This event will offer an opportunity to inform providers of the Council's vision for services, its competitive tendering process and timetable for procurement. There will also be opportunity for providers to seek clarity on the model, ask questions and make comments where appropriate. Key topics for the day will be; — An introduction to Barking and Dagenham. — The demographics and needs of children and families in Barking and Dagenham. — Current service provision. — The new model — key themes and components of future service provision. — The ‘ask’ from providers and indicative budget. — Procurement Process. — Discussion and Questions. This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise offering an opportunity for potential providers to help understand commissioning intentions and offer opportunities for potential future providers to network, forge partnerships and start thinking about an integrated service delivery models. The Council is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in this exercise. Any procurement of any services, supplies or works by the Council in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions in the UK and EU Procurement Regulations Organisations interested in attending the event should confirm their attendance by emailing Adebimpe.winjobi@elevateeastlondon.co.uk. latest by 10:00 Friday 15.12.2017. Please note that spaces are limited, and organisations are asked to send no more than two (2) representatives to the event.
