Tender description

A 4 year framework is being developed for Cumbria Equipment Retailers Service — Supply of Care Equipment for Daily Living (Simple Aids by Prescription). This will utilise the retail model which was a Department of Health led initiative using a national specification and tariff price list. This is now a local authority responsibility and the retailer network is used by the NHS and the Council. Issuing practitioners can include occupational therapists from the Council and nurses and OTs from the NHS. Users can redeem Cumbrian prescriptions at retailers' premises. Practitioners can also prescribe delivery and fit as necessary for the customer.
