Household-refuse collection services

Tender description

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is intending to go out to tender for the provision of a waste and recycling domestic kerbside collection service for households within the Borough and disposal at designated waste treatment and disposal facilities. The residual waste collection service is from approximately 35 000 households with waste currently collected on a fortnightly basis in mixture of 180 L and 240 L wheeled bins. The organic waste collection service is from approximately 57 000 households with waste currently collected on a fortnightly basis in 240 L wheeled bins. The successful contractor will be required to supply and manage the resources and staff to deliver the service. It is anticipated that tender documents will be available from 22.12.2017. Collection of organic waste from all households and commercial customers within the Council area. Collection of residual household waste from households within the legacy Newtownabbey Borough Council area. Collection of organic waste from all households and commercial customers within the Council area and residual household waste from households within the legacy Newtownabbey area.
