The Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Groups are holding a market engagement event on Tuesday 12th December 2017 at the Village Hotel, Castle View, Forstal Rd, Maidstone ME14 3AQ from 14:00 to 16:30. The CCGs are developing their Integrated Urgent Care Service (IUCS) Contract to commence 1st April 2019. Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Groups are looking to re-procure a 111 Telephony/Clinical Assessment Service and a Face-to-Face Service and this market engagement opportunity is to provide an overview of the forthcoming process and give potential bidders a clear understanding of the high-level expectations of what Commissioners wish to commission. Patients will have: — access to urgent care via NHS 111, either a free-to-call telephone number or online, — triage by a Health Advisor, — consultation with a clinician using a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) or an agreed clinical protocol to complete the episode on the telephone where possible, — direct booking post clinical assessment into a face-to-face service where necessary, — electronic prescription if needed, and, — self-help information delivered to the patient. For the face to face provision, there are walk in and Minor Injury Unit services plus the base and home visiting elements of the Out of Hours services.
