Tender description

The supplier shall operate the restaurant in an efficient manner and shall provide (and in the case of service users prepare meals for collection by residential unit which will be served at various locations in the premises) hot and cold meals and non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks to the staff visitors and service users of LauraLynn. All food supplied to LauraLynn must be of the highest quality, must be purchased from an approved supplier list and must comply with all necessary statutory requirements relating to the composition and quality of food and with statutory hygiene laws and practices. Food must be stored in compliance with all relevant statutory food safety and environmental health and safety requirements. Levels of food stocks on site at any given time must not exceed the capacity of the appropriate storage facilities provided to the site and should ensure minimal wastage which will align with supply and demand. The supplier must ensure provision of sufficient food and beverages for staff, service users and visitors throughout the working period and respond to special situations involving the unexpected influx of large members of staff, service users and visitors to LauraLynn. The supplier shall be responsible for the ordering and purchasing of all supplies to be used by the supplier in provision of the services, such supplies to be ordered in the name and on behalf of supplier and not LauraLynn and to remain the property of the supplier. Pre- prepared frozen pureed meals for consumption by service users shall be ordered using a LauraLynn Purchase Order and paid for by LauraLynn and shall remain the property of LauraLynn. The supplier will assist LauraLynn and facilitating the on-site events, training and meetings as agreed with the facilities department when requested.
