Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking to appoint no more than 2 Arboricultural contractors to this Arboricultural Works Framework Agreement. The framework will include the provision of all aspects of tree surgery work on the Trunk Road Network on behalf of the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency. Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking to appoint no more than 2 Arboricultural contractors to this Arboricultural Works Framework Agreement. The framework will include the provision of all aspects of tree surgery work on the Trunk Road Network on behalf of the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency. Typically works will be undertaken at night to reduce disruption to the public, with a 4 man gang to carry out general thinning and removal of front line trees. Works are typically part of a large works programme but can range from 1 night to a couple of months with MEWP's to access embankments and taller trees. Traffic management will be provided by WCBC, usually a high speed lane closure of full shutdown depending on the location. Occasionally works programs do include weekend working but normal hours will be 19:30 to 03:30 Monday to Friday. Day time works may be required to run simultaneously with a separate gang. A standalone 4 man gang may also be required to clear vegetation around structures such as bridges and retaining walls. Emergency call outs will be made during adverse weather events or whenever a fallen tree presents a risk to the public.
