TP17/23 Culverted Watercourse Scoping Report

Kent County Council would like to invite quotes for a scoping report for three culverted ordinary watercourses in Kent. Due to historical development, these watercourses are significantly culverted throughout their length, which causes and exacerbates flooding. These watercourses are currently un-gauged and we are unaware of the flow regime or capacity of the watercourses under normal or flood conditions. We would like to install gauges on these watercourses to gather data on the level and/or flow in them. However, as we are not familiar with gauging and the associated data management techniques, KCC is seeking a report from a suitably qualified consultant on how best to undertake the gauging on these watercourses. Please see the attached specification for further information about the work. We would seek to completed reports by January 26th 2018 at the latest.
