Tender description

— Supply, deliver, install and commission a Fizeau laser interferometer subject to the performance specification contained in the tender document. — If any of the technical specifications cannot be met, then this should be clearly stated in the tender return. Due to the extreme surface quality of synchrotron X-ray mirrors, we require an interferometer with the highest possible imaging quality. Therefore, when reviewing tender returns, great importance will be placed on the performance of each instrument. In particular, we require an instrument with the best possible lateral spatial resolution, topography repeatability, and instrument transfer function (ITF) to accurately record the mid-spatial frequency content of the test surface. Deliverables 1. Fizeau interferometer with a 150 mm diameter laser beam. 2. Controls hardware (including PC) and software to operate the Fizeau interferometer. 3. All cabling and connections to DLS services as defined in this document. 4. Software to acquire, display, and analyse data. 5. Installation and commissioning of the system at DLS. 6. Training for DLS personnel in the operation and maintenance of the Fizeau interferometer.
