Tender description

Overhaul of GEC Type G781/DW M/A set and 201class locomotive generators. — There is a total of 28 overhauls to be carried out over a 18-24 month period, these overhauls are to include new Gino resistors that will be provided by Iarnród Éireann. — In addition to this, a further 9 M/A sets, already overhauled, are to have Gino resistors fitted over a two month period after the main overhauls. — A requirement of a break/fix casualty repair to be in place until July 2021. 201 Class locomotive AR8PHEH / Main Generator / CA6B Alternator — There is a requirement to have 12 (4 per annum) overhauls done on the main generators. — A requirement of a break/fix casualty repair to be in place until July 2021.
