Tender description
Aims and objectives of the Barnet Integrated Childrens Therapies Contract: • To provide an integrated therapies service that is borough-wide, outcomes-based, needs-led and evidence-based, to support children and young people at the earliest opportunity in order to meet their health, education needs and social care needs. Integration in this context is defined as the management and delivery of Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services so that children and young people receive a continuum of therapeutic services according to their needs over time and across different levels of service delivery. Ensure Pathways are developed to ensure smooth and easy access to services. • The vision for the service is that children and young people and families will experience a seamless, single and easy to navigate service. • The long-term vision for the service is that children and their families will experience a seamless, single and easy to navigate service, regardless of whether they need to access one, two or three different therapies, and that their needs are considered holistically. • Ensure that all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities reach their full potential. We are committed to ensuring that clear and realistic outcomes are achieved and that young people have the opportunity to become as healthy, independent and resilient as possible. • In Early Years, needs will be managed on a trans-disciplinary basis where appropriate, with therapy led by a primary practitioner with a coordinating therapist model in place for school aged children and young people receiving specialist services. This model will be in place for all children and young people receiving specialist services by the end of year 2 of the contract. Keywords: Integrated Therapies, Children, Barnet
