PAN1788 - Safeguarding Training

Tender description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites quotations for the provision of a competent and experienced trainer, to provide training to members of staff in Adult Safeguarding. The Local Authority has a statutory duty, under the Care Act 2014, to ensure that those staff involved in responding, investigating and managing safeguarding concerns are suitably trained. The Safeguarding Adults Boards for Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland, devised a Safeguarding Competency Framework that outlines the competencies that staff need to demonstrate, depending on their job role. To date, each Local Authority has implemented the framework and either delivered 'in-house' or externally commissioned training. Recently, Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council have developed a suite of training modules that will be either jointly commissioned or single agency. This procurement will be for single agency only. Leicester and Leicestershire share the same Safeguarding Adults procedures, as shown in the link below: http://www.llradultsafeguarding.co.uk However, there are differences in terms of local application of the procedures, hence our decision to procure this training for Leicester City Council staff only. The proposed contract will be for one year with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than a further two years. We anticipate awarding to a single Supplier.
