The works include: Killoteran Bridge - Vegetation clearance - Repointing of masonry - Installation of concrete bed lining - Installation of rock armour to riverbed at downstream end - Installation of crack stitch bars - Installation of concrete rubbing strips and road drainage - Filling of scour holes with mass concrete - Adding piers to existing blockwork parapet - Traffic management Monvoy Bridge - Vegetation clearance - Repointing of masonry walls - Repair of masonry throughout structure - Repointing of arch barrels - Installation of tie bars - Grout fill to existing masonry pier - Traffic management Pouldrew Bridge - Vegetation clearance - Repointing of masonry spandrel walls, parapets and abutments - Installation of scour aprons to both abutments of span 1 - Installation of tie bars Portlaw Bridge - Masonry repair to upstream cutwaters Cork Road Bridge - Vegetation clearance - Installation of in-situ reinforced concrete apron - Extend existing reinforced concrete wing walls - Installation of rock armour - Filling existing scour holes with mass concrete Paddy Browne's Road Bridge - Debris Removal - Existing block work headwall to be removed - Installation of in-situ reinforced concrete headwall Note: The inclusion of any of the above structures in the contract is dependent on statutory procedures and available funding. A final decision on the structures to be included will be made prior to contract award. Note: The Contractor should allow in their programme for all in-river bridge works to be undertaken at the beginning of the programme in order to comply with Inland Fisheries Ireland guidelines.
