Tender description

Plymouth City Council wishes to continue hosting the British Fireworks Championships which it has been hosting since 1997. The intellectual property rights to the name British Fireworks Championship are owned by Food Events and Things Ltd who trade as ‘The Event Services Association (TESA)’. Furthermore, TESA retains exclusivity in managing the British Fireworks Championship. Plymouth City Council has no option but to contract with TESA if it wishes to continue hosting the British Fireworks Championships. As such the procurement of this event management services falls under Regulation 32 (2) (b) (iii) — negotiated procedure without prior publication of The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Contract Duration: 12 years with the option to extend for 5 years.
