Tender description
Warrington Borough Council’s (the “Council”) ICT Service for Schools wishes to add a "Wireless-as-a-Service" (WaaS) offer to its portfolio of ICT services for schools. The WaaS shall offer schools an affordable fully managed, secure, high-speed, agile wireless networking solution that can be deployed on school networks to provide resilient and improved Wi-Fi performance to support schools increasing demand and rising expectations of mobility network access for teaching and learning. The Council requires a service Provider who can supply and manage the WaaS on its behalf on a school by school basis. The service shall be promoted as a Warrington Borough Council ICT Service for Schools supported by the Provider. The Council shall place a “Call-Off Order” under a Framework Agreement for each school that takes up the WaaS offer. Each Call-Off Order shall be for a minimum 3 years of service to the school with the option to extend the service on an annual basis at the discretion of the Council with the agreement of the school up to a maximum 5 year term. The Council shall not commit to a minimum level of service or volume of orders it will only place orders with the Provider as schools take up the service from the Council’s ICT Service for Schools. The single supplier Framework Agreement shall be for an initial term of 24 months with the option to extend for another 2 x 12 months periods at the discretion of the Council. The Council will look to select the Provider offering the best value service based on price and the response to the specification available to those Providers who register and express an interest. To ensure that everything is logged and audited, only correspondence, questions and clarifications raised in the Chest will be addressed by the Council.
