Supply, Installation and Commissioning of replacement heating system for Torridge Pool

Tender description

The existing 12 (no.) 50 kW Concord mains gas boilers are nearing end of their useful life and require replacing. The overall aim is to provide a return on the Authority’s investment, improve efficiency, remove end of life equipment and plant, improve controls, reduce duplication, reduce maintenance costs and requirements . The current 600 kW boiler capacity is subject to review by the contractor to ensure that the maximum demand from the facility can be met by any replacement system. The 600 kW is based on the current boiler sizes on site but may not represent an appropriate size and a smaller system is acceptable if it meets peak demand requirements. This should be clearly identified in any documents. The client is not predetermining the new heating system type or its supplier and this is entirely to the contractors’ design subject to evidence that the proposal is adequate to meet the heat demand.
