Tender description

This Prior Information Notice is to advise potential suppliers of track renewal services that London Underground (LU) will be holding a supplier briefing on the afternoon of 30.11.2017 (from 1:30pm) where it will outline its planned programme of works for 2019/20 and beyond. Invites to the briefing event will be made at LU's discretion and will be subject to the terms issued with the invitations. Attendees at the supplier event will be asked to complete a short questionnaire pertaining to the presentation and based on the responses received, suppliers may be invited to attend individual feedback meetings. If you would like to participate by attending the supplier event, please submit your expression of interest to the following email address trackprocurement@tfl.gov.uk by Monday 27th November no later than 5pm with the following: full names (2 attendees) job titles email addresses contact phone numbers a one page summary that sets out your relevant capability. In summary LU's delivery strategy for future track renewal activities is to expand its current construction management capability to deliver its entire programme of track renewals. Under this approach LU performs the role of construction manager utilising a blended team of LU directly employed staff, supplemented with resources from a Delivery Partner organisation contracted to provide specialist staff such as project managers and delivery/construction managers. The scope of services provided by the Delivery Partner may also include options to provide additional services such as the supply and operation of major items of rail plant and/or track labour, but such services may not be subcontracted. A separate Contract Notice will be issued as a call for competition to invite suppliers to participate in the tendering process.
