Waltham Forest Council is building its Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Capability to deliver a new and exciting portfolio of change called Creating futures. In order to manage the reporting process, Project and Programme Management improvement and Resourcing and Financial requirements, we are looking to invest in the best available PPM Tool. Due to the nature of current and future projects led by both ICT Change and the Transformation Service, we have recently merged two PMOs providing a unified offer. As part of this merge, a new pipeline process has been created to provide one controlled route and evaluation method for all change project requests. From January, both services expect to see an increase in project requests and a drastic change to the current portfolio. This could include anything from projects focussed on people and service change, to commissioning projects, capital build projects and digital design and solution projects. In order to accommodate these changes to the current and future Portfolio, both services would like to move away from populating several separate Excel spreadsheets and other disparate methods of reporting by considering the use of a PPM Tool solution.
