P0415 - Provision of Data to Maximise Business Rate Retention

Birmingham City Council wishes to establish a contract for the provision of a service to Maximise Business Rate Retention. This contract is for Birmingham City Council only. This work had 4 key objectives: • To identify any non-domestic properties that are not assessed for Business Rates • To identify any non-domestic properties that are under-assessed due to, for example, alterations made to the property that are not reflected in its current assessment • To report these to the Valuation Office Agency and monitor to ensure they are reflected in the rating list • To subsequently record and monitor the additional Business Rates income achieved as a result of the rateable value change The Framework will be for up to a maximum of 4 years. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
