North Cumbria University Hospitals are considering a 4 year contract for the provision of a GS1 compliant RFiD (Radio Frequency Identification) on all patient records. Prior to the commencement of the procurement process, the Trust wish to makes themselves aware of any potential solutions currently available within the market and, as such and without prejudice, intend to invite interested parties, whose product fits with this opportunity, to a ‘Discovery day’ where they can present to the Trust. We anticipate that these will be at the beginning of January 2018. It is important to the Trust that any proposed solution should already be established within the NHS and must be able to fully integrate into the Patient Administration System. References or case studies of successful implementations must be available on request. Please note that at this stage North Cumbria University Hospitals only wish to gather expressions of interest. The solution the Trust is looking for should be fully managed and serviced, to provide a filing and inventory tracking service for all health records, and asset tracking, which can be summarised as follows:: o Up to 750,000 active records; 50 users; Integration with the Trusts PAS data feed and 3rd party offsite storage providers; provision and configuration of 35 service point RFID fixed readers; 86 RFID sensors; 2 packs of lanyards; provision and set up of 10 Mobile Barcode Scanners with firmware; 10 RFID Portable Reader handheld detectors; provision of 250,000 RFID passive tags for Medical Records in year 1; 100 000 tags in year 2; 100 000 tags for in year 3; 100 000 tags in year 4 — Testing — Train the Trainer Systems Documentation — User Documentation — Project Management — Go live support — 10 days of Change Management — Annual Support (‘Support’) — Annual Software Maintenance.
