NHS England: Cumbria and the North East are the contracting authority for the provision of local GP practice services in North Cumbria and the North East area. Under the co-commissioning arrangements in place from April 2017, NHS England has delegated the responsibility for the commissioning of primary medical care services to NHS North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), who are currently reviewing the contract which provides GP services from the following sites: — Flatt Walks Health Centre, 3 Castle Meadows, Catherine Street, Whitehaven, CA28 7QE. — Beech House Medical Centre, St Bridget's Lane, Egremont, CA22 2BD. — Wath Brow Clinic, Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor, CA25 5LR. — Griffin Close Surgery, Griffin Close, Frizington, CA26 3SH. The commissioners would like to gather some soft intelligence from the market and are requesting that organisations complete and return the Request for Information that is provided with this notice by 12:00 noon 8.12.2017. As part of the market engagement exercise NHS England and the CCG may invite potential providers to 1-to-1 sessions or a market engagement event/workshop. If organised, these will be held on 15 December. Only providers that have completed the RFI will be offered any 1:1 sessions arranged. North of England Commissioning Support is managing this process for and on behalf of NHS England and the CCG. To express an interest: NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to communicate with potential providers. No hard copy documents will be issued and all communications will be conducted via the portal https://www.proactisplaza.com/SupplierPortal/?CID=NECS hosted by Proactis, the managed service provider for the NECS e-tendering system. It is free to register on the portal, and it can be accessed at any time of day. All communications and submissions will be conducted via the NECS e-tendering portal. This facility allows you to express an interest and is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is an awareness, communication and information gathering exercise.
