itt_32801 - EDERNEY VILLAGE PROJECT 1718 TNDR EP 035 The aim of this project is to improve an overgrown area in the heart of Ederney village, beside the primary school and nursery, on GAA grounds. The project will include development of walkways, construction of an outdoor viewing platform, creation of a living green wall, sowing of wildflower meadow and the sculpting of a dead tree. The project will enable a variety of ecological biodiversity and environmental programmes to be run in partnership with local schools and children’s groups. It will also have an impact on the health and wellbeing of the community by creating walkways which link to existing walking trails currently used by the local community including older generations. The Contract is for the Construction of a 3m high gabion retaining wall, pathways, outdoor classroom and associated drainage, signage and landscaping works. It should be noted that works site is located within a live GAA facility and will require management to co-ordinate the works in order not affect the public.
