Tender description

The purpose of the Day Care Service is to: Provide Service Users with a programme of activities and experiences during the day designed to help retain and improve daily living skills and to maintain the skills necessary for social engagement as specified in each individual's care plan. To provide a respite service for Carers, by offering the same level of purposeful activity and skills maintenance to the Service Users as specified in his or her individual care plan. The procurement is conducted under the arrangements for Light Touch procurements. Blackpool Council is seeking to appoint a single supplier to deliver a Building Based Day Care Service for Older Adults in Blackpool. The contract will be a spot contract with no guarantee of business. The contract will run for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years (subject to contract review and budget availability). A single unit price (per person, per day session) of 31.24 GBP will be paid.
