Repair and maintenance services of military vehicles

Babcock DSG, acting as the Authority's agent, is considering awarding a contract for the Repair and Refurbishment of Husky Shock Absorbers and their associated ECU's. The following NSN's are covered: 2510-01-594-1014 — Right Front Shock Absorber 2510-01-594-1015 — Left Front Shock Absorber 2510-01-594-1016 — Right Rear Shock Absorber 2510-01-594-1017 — Left Rear Shock Absorber 2510-01-594-1018 — Front Shock Absorber ECU 2510-01-594-1019 — Rear Shock Absorber ECU The OEM for these items is General Kinetics (GK), based in Canada. GK hold the technical information to facilitate the remanufacture/major/minor repair of these items. Due to GK's location and the costs associated with shipping these items to Canada, Babcock DSG are seeking a UK supplier to carry out a triage service (which includes identifying correct assets, diagnostic testing and shipping instruments), minor repair and onward shipping to GK, if required, to continue the support/repair/remanufacture of the NSN's. In order to provide that triage service, suppliers will need training, required equipment and technical information which can only be provided by GK. GK are fully supportive of this route to contract. The winning tenderer for this requirement will hold the contract and would be required to manage GK as their nominated sub-contractor for the subsequent contract.
