provision of Minor Roadworks at Railway Square

Tender description

A broad description of the works that are required are set out below;  Construction of a concrete paved island to facilitate pedestrian crossings and divert traffic onto Poleberry link road at the Railway Square junction  Installation of Tactile paving  Installing sockets for public lighting, ducts for ESB, lighting and signals, chambers and raising existing ironworks  Supply, placing and compaction of bituminous bound materials in accordance with series 900 of the NRA Specification for Road Works  Liaison with other contractors to agree tie in levels, manage site access and to ensure traffic management is coordinated.  Based on traffic counts at peak hours form 2014, there are In excess of 800 vehicles travelling in each direction on the R680. The contractor will have to manage traffic at peak hours to minimise queing  The contractor must be in a position to supply the material, manpower and plant to complete the project within an agreed time frame as specified in the instructions to tenderer (ITT). The Contractor is required to act as and to carry out the duties of Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (the ‘Regulations’) or any amendment thereof effective at the time of the Contract.
