Provision of Grounds Maintenance machinery and equipment and servicing and maintenance for certain items

Tender description

The procurement is for the provision of machinery required to implement Grounds maintenance operations. This will include a variety of ride on, handheld machinery and specialist equipment required for Sports Maintenance, Turf Management, Green keeping and Horticultural maintenance, Pruning & Vegetation management and Cleansing operations. The procurement is for the outright purchase to provide serviceable machinery & equipment. For certain items we have indicated that we require pricing for servicing and maintenance. We would expect a different type of maintenance and servicing for the initial period, e.g. when the kit is covered by any warranty etc. With a separate maintenance period to cover the length of contract.Please provide pricing for servicing and maintenance on this basis, for the period of the contract. It is our intention to start taking deliveries in December 2017. Whilst it is our intention to purchase the indicated volumes, we reserve the right to amend the quantity (reduce) in accordance with budgetary and operational needs. The product list is not all items potentially required and the Council reserves the right to request further pricing on additional items as required. Price evaluation will be based on the most cost effective option (for evaluation purposes) in relation to purchasing the ammounts indicated. Any price variation following the core period of the Contract, must be made in writing, with supporting documents, and shall only become valid following acceptance by the Council,.At that stage any price increase will be considered and capped to, but not dictated by the rate of CPI (Consumer Price Index) in the month prior to negotiation. If a piece of equipment or machery breaks down, the Council require the broken item to be collected and a replacement delivered within 48 hrs or within defind and agreed timescales If equipment/machinery is found to be unsuitable, the Council reserves the right to exchange items of machinery/equipment for something more suitable for the tasks to be undertaken. Sefton Council reserves the right to award the contract on the basis of a single supplier
