Tender description

This contract is for the provision of mattresses and pillows to the UK Ministry of Justice for predominant use within the prison estate. This contract also covers the collection and recycling of used mattresses and pillows. Lot 1 (Mattresses) — Annual provision of circa 33 000 fire retardant mattresses, predominantly for use by Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Products conform to British Standard BS7177 + HMPPS Fire Test Specification (Igloo Test)”. Lot 2 (Pillows) — Annual provision of circa 32 000 fire retardant pillows, predominantly for use by Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Products conform to British Standard BS7175 Lot 3 (Recycling) — Provision covering the collection and recycling of used mattresses and pillows under this contract.
