Tender description

The objective of this project is to lead to the selection of the appropriate software vendor and solution that the British Council will select for its master data governance (MDG) solution. An MDG solution is defined as a software solution that enables and supports the implementation of the MDG discipline in British Council to govern creations and changes (including deletions) to master data objects, and interact with and analyse data quickly, without much training or IT assistance. MDG vendors should provide some level of functionality in the following: — Business services and work-flow with staging for roles of requester, enricher, approver et al; — Hierarchy management to create and manage tree structures in master data governance; — Master data governance architecture, master data modelling and use of meta-data; — Master data governance including configuration and use of business rules on master data; — Master data loading, integration and synchronization; — Performance indicators of data quality, request backlogs / bottlenecks, lead times, volumes; — Support or maintenance contract connections into the British Council software instance; — System architecture, security and administration; — User interfaces with integration with email, web browsers or other day to day interfaces; — Verifiable audit trails of when, why, and by whom master data is changed.
