Tender description

Blackpool Council is looking to appoint a single provider to deliver background support for adults living in two extra care housing schemes in Blackpool. **Please note all contract documentation will be published w/c 13.11.2017 on Blackpool's e-tendering portal https://procontract.due-north.com Extra Care Housing is available for people over the age of 55 years who have a care or support need which is affecting their ability to live independently. The care element provided in these schemes is generic, and will be available to all residents within them including: frail elderly, mental health, sensory disability, substance-misuse related needs. Blackpool Council works in partnership with Great Places Housing Association to provide two Extra Care Housing Schemes in Blackpool: Tulloch Court, Cherry Tree Road and Elk View Court, Ashfield Road. Great Places is the Landlord and Blackpool Council commissions the care provision within these schemes. Both schemes have self-contained rental apartments and communal facilities. Blackpool Council's contract with the current provider is coming to an end and we wish to appoint a care provider to provide 150 hours of care per week at each scheme and a nightly sleep in at each scheme.
