This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to advertise an early market engagement only. Publication and call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved by the UK Government. The programme will support economic transformation and job creation through facilitating and structuring investments around 3-4 specific transformative backbones to achieve the following: — Increased private Investment and trade in target backbones. — GoG policy, spatial projects and other facilitated activity improves specific industrial and trade policy constraints . — Growth in backbones will create new demand for products/services, encouraging firms outside these to diversify into those capabilities. — Improved access to jobs and working conditions across backbones. — Growth in backbones will create new demand for products/services, encouraging firms outside these to diversify into those capabilities. The Early Market Engagement Event DFID will be conducting an Early Market Engagement (EME) event on 29.11.2017 in the following locations: This will elicit market views on the feasibility of delivery options and possible risks, challenges and opportunities. DFID is also keen to understand the key commercial factors which will further this programme's delivery. The EME will begin at 10:00 (UK time) on 29.11.2017. Parties interested in attending should register their interest by 23.11.2017. We request a maximum of 2 participants attend per organisation. The event will include a presentation and Q&A session regarding the programme and services expectations. The aim is to engage with providers to assess market capacity, capability and appetite and seek early comments to inform the Business Case. Partners/Suppliers are encouraged to register on the DFID Portal to view all related communication.
