Tender description

The requirement is for an Electrical Contractor providing the role of Main Contractor whom shall be responsible for the appointment of an appropriate generator specialist, orders and all liaisons with the Client, Avon and Somerset Constabulary. Project Scope. Replacement and improvements to the LV mains switchgear and associated equipment due to the majority of the fittings being time expired or in poor condition. Tenderers are required to submit a tender for 2 No separate packages of works, Sports and Amenities works and Sports and Amenities AND Admin Works to form package 2. The proposed works include the following main elements: Mechanical and Electrical, Services and Fabric. SDS have been employed by Avon and Somerset Constabulary based on a traditional contract with Contractor's design portions for selected specialist items as detailed in the relevant sections of the specification. Project Scope Avon and Somerset Constabulary propose to carry out replacement and improvements to their LV mains switchgear and associated equipment due to the majority of the fittings being time expired or in poor condition. Tenderers are required to submit a tender for 2 No separate packages of works. — Sports and Amenities works only for form package 1. — Sports and Amenities AND Admin Works to form package 2. Proposed Works The proposed works include the following main elements: Mechanical and Electrical: — Installation of temporary supply arrangements to maintain existing site infrastructure. — Replacement of life expired LV switchgear. — Disconnection of existing site generators redundant from these works. — Provision of 4 No new 800 kVA generator sets. — Provision of new Un-interruptible Power Supply cabinet to support the existing critical services. — Alteration of existing site infrastructure. Fabric: — Builders work covers drilling and/or plugging walls, floors, ceilings etc., for fixings for services and such work is included in the contracts works. Provide all supporting steelwork brackets, clamps and fixings as necessary for the complete installation.
