Summary of the work Digital solution for rheumatic patient appoitments, for Guy's and St Thomas NHS' Foundation Trust. Expected Contract Length Up to 2 years Latest start date Friday 1 December 2017 Why the Work is Being Done Trust's rheumatology runs a variety of specialist and subspecialist services with 18,000 face-to-face patient contacts per year. The requirement is for replacing legacy MS Access database which is currently used to manage these patients. The database holds treatment records of patients which are updated and reviewed on an ad hoc basis. The database is linked to the patient administration system (PIMS). Full spec available directly from: marko.kyronlahti@gstt.nhs.uk Problem to Be Solved Currently using MS Access for rheumatic patient appointments and follow up care. Prefer switching away from the current solution to more comprehensive digital solution, enabling clinical teams to manage the associated processes more effectively. Requires development for a fully functioning MVP. The proposed solution must be able to interface with Trust's other clinical systems (full list available on request). Who Are the Users Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust; Rheumatic Department - users: Trust administrators and clinicians. Manage the patient appoitments and follow up care using electronic/digital solution. Current MS Access solution limited to the requirement. Work Already Done Have spent the last six months in discovery in a bid to improve our understanding of users; their behaviour, needs and wants. We believe we have validated the concept with both patients and Trust staff. This has involved engaging patients and clinicians to develop a series of lo-fi prototypes, which continue to be iterated.
