Detailed Ground Investigation

Tender description

Waterford City and County Council is seeking to carry out a detailed ground investigation contract for the development of public infrastructure at the North Quays area in Waterford City. The investigation works will involve the drilling of cable percussion and rotary core boreholes, excavation of trial pits, excavation of slit trenches, geophysical surveying, temporary traffic management, in-situ testing, laboratory testing and production of a factual & interpretative Ground Investigation and Contamination Assessment reports and a geophysical surveying report. The investigations are required inform the future development which consists of both online and offline road construction, new bridges and retaining wall structures, railway station, pavement overlay works, drainage, earthworks, accommodation works, utility diversions and other ancillary works. The Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the investigation works.
