Dental Out of Hours Service - Suffolk

Tender description

The OOHs service will form part of a wider, revised dental care pathway for the Midlands and East (East) area. There are three parts to the revised delivery model: • call handling service (not subject of this service specification) - all patient call handling will be undertaken by NHS 111; • telephone triage (subject of this service specification) - providing an element of clinical telephone assessment in response to patient need and direct patients in accordance to the outcome of each triage; and • urgent dental treatment services (subject of this service specification) - providing same or next day urgent dental treatment; for the purposes of this procurement, the part of the model being commissioned is for all weekend and Bank Holiday provision, which will be provided by general dental service providers.
