Summary of the work To identify the requirements and data lifecycle of geographic information using incident management. The brief is to work with Enterprise Architect software for the purpose of data flow mapping and to maintain, update and quality check the data flow mapping repository. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 2-3 months Latest start date Monday 6 November 2017 Maximum Day Rate £700 Who Speclialist Work With You will be working with the Data management team and lead users in incident management. What Specialists Work On 1. To identify the requirements and data lifecycle of geographic information using incident management. 2. Produce as is Data Flow Mapping using Enterprise Architect Software. 3. Update and maintain the repository of data flow maps. Skills & Experience • Experience with using Enterprise Architect Corporate Software for data mapping. • Experience of maintaining, updating and quality assuring a repository of data flow maps • Experience and knowledge of a wide range of data, including both spatial and non-spatial. • Identify user needs for data. • Understanding data lifecycles. Nice to Haves Experience of working in the public sector Work Location Remote working is possible. Base location at start will be Horizon House in Bristol; travel to other Environment Agency offices, e.g. London, may be required. Working Arrangments Days/hours worked to be arranged according to business needs but with considerable flexibility over the period of the contract. Contract value includes a maximum of £700 for expenses (train travel). Please could you advise IR35 status of the role? This role is outside of IR35. 2. Can more than one individual be named in the application? No. Only one individual can be named per application. 3. How many days of remote working would be allowed - please confirm Base location at start will be Horizon House in Bristol. Remote working will be possible for 2-3 days per week. 4. What is the likelyhood on extension of the contract after 2-3 months? The likelihood of an extension after 2-3 months is not foreseen. 5. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted? Feedback from all applications will be given by Wednesday 18 October. 6. Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Monday 6 November 2017 We may have some flexibility on the start date. 7. What are the other expenses which will be paid? We envisage that the only expenses will be for reasonable travel, which will be paid when visiting EA offices, e.g. 2nd class train fares. This will be by prior agreement only. 8. What are the exact work locations? Base location is Bristol. There may be travel required to London and/or Warrington offices. 9. Any specific format(pdf,doc) in which CVs to be sent later? We only require responses to the criteria at this stage. 10. Is there any travel involved in this role and will the travel expenses be paid ? We envisage that the only expenses will be for reasonable travel, which will be paid when visiting EA offices, e.g. 2nd class train fares. This will be by prior agreement only. 11. Is the rate inclusive or exclusive of VAT? The maximum day rate excludes VAT. 12. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role ? Yes
