Tender description
Liverpool City Council seek a Main Contractor based on a two-stage contract award basis; the first stage being for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) during design and for the construction of a New Cruise Liner Terminal at the Princes Jetty site on the River Mersey. Outline: • Controlled dismantling & removal of redundant mooring dolphins and structures including the Princes Jetty • Construction of a new Cruise Liner Terminal on a suspended deck structure at the Princes Jetty site, the erection of a vehicular link span bridge and pedestrian bridge/walkway improvements to the existing landing stage, including modification of existing buildings such as the lower cruise terminal reception building, removal of the building on the northern end of the pontoon and creation of an ancillary buildings for storage and use by operational staff; improvements to Princes Parade to incorporate pedestrian crossing facilities, provision of terminal parking, pickup and drop off facilities, and supporting development. We will be operating a two-stage contractor appointment methodology. First Stage: To initially work with the Technical Team (from RIBA Stage 3 to RIBA Stage 4 tbc) and then take full responsibility for the design (with the novated Technical Team).
