Early Market Engagement Limited early market engagement carried out to confirm and refine the scope of work. Who Speclialist Work With You will work with business analysts and solutions architects as part of an established programme. What Specialists Work On 1. Review business needs for asset data, 2. Map detailed data flows, 3. Identify problem areas, 4. Identify areas for improvements, 5. Prepare and deliver data flow maps and 6. Advise and guide teams delivering IT solutions about data/information and related issues. Skills & Experience • • Wide knowledge of data related issues, spatial and non-spatial data • • Asset management processes in the environmental sector • • Developing and applying data standards • • Using Sparks enterprise software package (EA standard). • • Using conceptual high-level data flow maps • • Developing, updating and quality assuring detailed data flow maps Nice to Haves • • Experience of linked data solutions in the public sector • • Asset management in the utilities and infrastructure sectors. Work Location Mainly Bristol (BS1) with some visits to central London (SW1P). Working Arrangments The requirement is to work in Bristol/Reading/London 3 days/week for 4 months. Some remote working will be possible. Please could you advise IR35 status of the role The role is outside IR35 2. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted? Supplier responses will be evaluated w/c 16th October with an aim to let all suppliers know the outcome by Fri 19th October (although we would expect to achieve this earlier in the week). 3. Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Monday 6 November 2017 We need someone in place on 6th November 4. What are the other expenses which will be paid Reasonable travel expenses will be paid when visiting EA offices, e.g. train fares. This will depend where the successful supplier is based and will be by prior agreement only. 5. What are the exact work locations the main locations are Bristol (Horizon House, Deanery Road, Bristol, BS1 5AH) and London (Nobel House, London). Visits may be required to other EA offices and city centre locations in the course of carrying out the work. 6. Any specific format(pdf,doc) in which CVs to be sent later No specific format, any issues we will contact. 7. Is occasional remote working allowed Yes 8. Is there any travel involved in this role and will the travel expenses be paid Yes, and reasonable travel expenses will be paid, by agreement 9. Is the rate inclusive or exclusive of VAT? ex VAT 10. What technologies will the consultant work on or should have experience with , please give detail The consultant will work with Sparx Enterprise Architect Corporate as well as the MS Office suite of products. A good understanding of GIS and Asset Management technologies would be beneficial 11. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role Yes
