Please be advised that Iarnród Éireann will shortly be going to the market seeking the services of a competent and experienced Contractor to design and construct the replacement of the existing roof structure (roof truss span is approx. 28 m) and roof covering to Pearse Station. This requirement will be advertised for Pre-Qualification in December 2017. Pearse Station is a railway station situated on Westland Row, Dublin 2, Ireland. It is Ireland's busiest commuter station with c.8 million passenger journeys through the station. The station has 2 through platforms with both lines electrified. This requirement will be advertised for Pre-Qualification in December 2017. Pearse Station is a railway station situated on Westland Row, Dublin 2, Ireland. Iarnród Éireann envisages that Qualified Contractors will comprise of either single contractors or consortia who will be able to demonstrate experience in projects of similar complexity to the Pearse Station Roof Refurbishment project completed within the last 15 years including: — Roof renewal of a span in excess of 20 m; — Design and Build contracts as the main contractor; — Working on a live rail network including OHLE and line possessions; — Works involving conservation of a historic structure including interfacing with a recorded structure; — Works within a public occupied building; The approximate timeline is for tender documents to be issued in early 2018, contact award to be formalised in May 2018 and construction to begin in August 2018 (approx. 18 months construction duration).
