West Devon Borough Council and South Hams District Council are seeking a contractor(s) to provide: delivery of Waste Collection, the management of collected dry recyclables, street cleansing and toilet cleaning services. Consideration may be given to the inclusion of additional services which are related to the services to be delivered. Lot 1: Refuse and recycling collections, street cleansing services and public toilet cleaning at West Devon Borough Council. Lot 2: Refuse and recycling collections, street cleansing services and public toilet cleaning at South Hams District Council. Lot 3: Refuse and recycling collections, street cleansing services and public toilet cleaning at both West Devon Borough Council and at South Hams District Council. Under this contract the contractors will be required to actively participate in the achievement of the Contracting Authority's social/economic/environmental objectives. Accordingly, contract documents may relate to these considerations. West Devon Borough Council is seeking a contractor to provide: delivery of Waste Collection, the management of collected dry recyclables, street cleansing and toilet cleaning services. As part of this procurement process consideration may be given to the inclusion of additional services which are related to the services to be delivered. West Devon Borough Council will be procuring a new Contract for all of these Services to commence on 1.4.2019. The Initial Contract Period will be for a minimum period of eight (8) years i.e. until 31.3.2027 and for a maximum of ten (10) years i.e. until 31.3.2029. The Contract will be capable of extension (on a mutually agreed basis) for one or more periods up to a maximum contract term of 20 years until 31.3.2039. The contracting authority reserves the right to withdraw lots 1, 2 or 3 from the procurement process subject to proposals providing a more economical solution through this procurement against current in-house arrangements for South Hams District Council.
