Brief for Engineering Consultancy Services for Gracedieu and Kilbarry LIHAF Projects

Tender description

Waterford City and County Council has been granted funding under the Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund (LIHAF) for two road schemes at Gracedieu and Kilbarry in Waterford City. The Gracedieu development consists of a 200m long access road with a roundabout to tie into the existing road network on the south side and a major/minor road junction to the northern side of the access road. The Kilbarry distributor road is approximately 1.85km in length commencing at the Tesco Roundabout extending in a easterly direction joining the Lacken Road for an approximate distance of 400m, and returning to the Musgrave Roundabout at Kilbarry (Six Cross Roads). The consultant will be required to deliver the following for each scheme (i.e) separate reports and drawings for each scheme): Appointment as Project Supervisor for the Design Process from award of tender to handover of safety file from the works contractor Preliminary Design Road Safety Audit Stage F-3 Tender for Site Investigation and overseeing the works Detailed Design of the Access road and junctions to include cycle paths and footpaths. Detailed drainage and services design Accommodation Works Design Set of Tender Documents as per Construction Procurement - Public Works Contract PW-CF5 Dealing with queries from e-tenders Dealing with queries during the construction phase
