Great Yarmouth Borough Council is looking to commission a multi-disciplinary team headed by a lead consultant, to carry out services in connection with the Redevelopment of the Market area in Great Yarmouth. These services will include: undertaking feasibility; concept and developed design/s; obtaining Full Planning Approvals, and preparing an RIBA Stage 3 Report. The successful team must, assess the potential of the site and be fully conversant with the risks and opportunities arising from the feasibility, concept and developed design; —consult and have dialogue with stakeholders, including the market traders, throughout all work stages; —work with planners and other council officers throughout the design processes and work stages.As part of the bid, consultants will be expected to produce Sketch schemes showing up to two options for each of two alternative schemes — the first with a budget (construction cost) of £2 million, the second with a budget (construction cost) of £4 million. Open Procedure Quotations will be invited from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants under an OJEU ‘Open’ Procedure for Consultancy services in connection with the Redevelopment of the Six-Day and Two-Day Markets at Market Place, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR30 1PB. Services to include the preparation of site feasibility studies, concept and developed designs; taking the lead role in respect of outline and full planning approvals; and services generally up to RIBA Stage 3.
