Summary of the work Map current business processes, define business impacts and define target business process to support improved clinical triage. The Business Analysts will form part of a core product team. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 4 Months Latest start date Monday 27 November 2017 Who Speclialist Work With Internal senior management team which includes the Head of Programme, Commercial Lead, BA Lead, Product Lead, Programme & Project Management, Technical Architecture Lead/Team, Business Analysis team, Clinical Lead, Comms Lead, Service Management Lead, Benefits Lead, Research Lead and User Research. Wider business stakeholder community including SMEs, inter-domain and cross-domain teams. What Specialists Work On Work with the Clinical Triage Programme agile customer team, providers and suppliers to help define the next generation of NHS 111 digital products including software, data and specifications. Key tasks: • Facilitate all Agile meetings • Manage and maintain agile tools and boards • Work with Senior BA and Senior Product Manager to unblock impediments • Regular communication with team, Senior BA and Senior Product Manager on progress and issues • Collaborate with team to refine agile processes and tools • Help to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team. • Support formulation of business cases Skills & Experience • Experience of Agile methodologies and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban • Experience of acting as Scrum Master for agile teams including facilitation of agile ceremonies • Demonstrable experience of working within a fast-paced environment, and of the BA role within agile frameworks • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills, demonstrating success in facilitating collaboration, influencing, communicating and negotiating at all levels • Demonstrable experience in understanding how the services, activities and strategies in the area work together to create value for the customer/end user • Demonstrable expertise and experience of using agile project management software (e.g. Jira; Confluence; Trello, Slack) • Significant understanding, expertise and experience of working on central government objectives, operations, data, organisational structure, systems and processes • Significant expertise and experience of undertaking options identification, analysis, evaluation and recommendation to enable informed strategic and delivery decisions Nice to Haves Government Digital Service’s Design Principles and Digital Service Standard and its application to internal products and services Work Location Leeds Working Arrangments Based in Central Leeds with occasional travel to London. Security Clearance All staff must be SC cleared. We will ask bidders for details of key personnel, if successful the bidder will be asked for confirmation of security clearance or we will initiate clearance process. Will a T&S budget be available for the stated requirement of occasional travel to London T&S will be covered via the invoicing process on production of necessary evidence (i.e. Rail tickets) 2. Can you advise whether the assignment will likely to be extended beyond the initial 4 months? Not known at this time. If required this will be subject to a change control. 5. Can you advise if this role will fall inside or outside of the off-payroll worker legislation? This is outside of the off-payroll worker legislation 6. Is there a current incumbent in this role, or is it a new requirement. New requirement 7. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role ?
