Tender description

North Yorkshire County Council is seeking delivery of a new Waste Transfer Station and associated infrastructure at Kirby Misperton, Tofts Road, Kirkby Misperton, North Yorkshire, YO17 6BG. The winning supplier will be responsible for its construction, which includes a waste transfer station, staff welfare building, refuse & waste collection vehicle (RCV) and articulated vehicles and car parking and associated highways improvements. North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a contract for the construction of a new Waste Transfer Station at Kirby Misperton: The requirement is for a new 1 970 m2 Waste Transfer Station and associated infrastructure at Kirby Misperton, Tofts Road, Kirkby Misperton, North Yorkshire, YO17 6BG. The 10 280 m2 site is located off Tofts Road in Kirby Misperton. Its construction includes a waste transfer station, staff welfare building, refuse & waste collection vehicle (RCV) and articulated vehicles and car parking, with associated highways improvements. The waste transfer station is approximately 1 970 m2 GIFA constructed of 4m high concrete push walls with plastisol coated cladding sections, steel roller shutters and a plastisol coated steel roof (13.3m high). The welfare office is approximately 74m2 with plastisol composite panels. Air intake fans are to be installed on the building for odour control. The development will also include areas of new hardstanding of approximately 5 590 m2, underground drainage pump, fire-fighting water supply tank, weighbridge, sprinkler tanks and pump house.
