Tender description

Harborough District Council is committed to high-quality leisure provision and currently operates 2 facilities at Market Harborough and Lutterworth; the contract for delivery of the service comes to an end on 31.3.2019 and the Council is seeking to appoint a new partner for continued provision of the leisure services from 1.4.2019. The Council is seeking to deliver investment in its facilities and in particular this includes: — Development of a new facility in Market Harborough to replace the existing facility. — Investment in Lutterworth Sports Centre to improve its commerciality. It is the intention of the Council to enter into a Design, Build, Operate and Maintain (DBOM) contract for the proposed developments. The Council has identified its preferred option to procure a future contract as follows: — A new build facility in Market Harborough to replace the existing, including new pool, sports hall, health and fitness and ancillary facilities. — Refurbishment of Lutterworth Sports Centre to improve the services offered.
