SOG-ESS-T- Defined Contribution Second Pillar Pension Scheme for Guernsey and Alderney

Tender description

In February 2016, the then Social Security Department developed an outline proposal for an auto enrolment Second Pillar pension scheme which will encourage the population to make greater provisions for themselves for the future through pension savings. The States approved the principles for the introduction of a Secondary Pension scheme (‘the Scheme’) subject to further research. However, detailed proposals are still being developed and need to be taken back to the States. Further information about the project can be found on http://www.gov.gg/secondarypensions. Part of those detailed proposals will involve one or several providers to deliver the different aspects of the Secondary Pension Scheme. The current pre-qualification process is about the early due diligence of potential providers and ensure that any potential supplier(s) have the appropriate experience to provide the scheme of the scale expected.
