Tender description

Westminster's Rough Sleeping team commissions services to help empower homeless and vulnerable individuals to rebuild their lives and find sustainable accommodation. To support the delivery of the Rough Sleeping Strategy 2017-2020 and the City Council's ‘City for All’ vision, we are looking to procure Rough Sleepers Frontline Accommodation Services at the King George's Hostel, to be delivered in line with the Rough Sleeping Team's Key Commissioning Principles. Further details of these strategies and principles can be found in the procurement documents. King George's is a 68 bed, all male, self-catering hostel in Westminster, St James' ward. The provider will be required to work with individuals with complex needs — particularly focusing on those who are in the pre-contemplative stages of their substance misuse — to support their stabilisation and progress towards independent or step down accommodation and to deliver short term, recovery-focused interventions that will have long lasting effects. The service will be looking at emotional regulation and the stress tolerances that lead to challenging behaviour while supporting individuals with finding meaningful ways to spend their time away from street based activity.
