Tender description

DCC Homelessness Prevention are recommissioning housing related support services, with a view to achieving better outcomes and equality of access. Housing related support enables people to establish and/or maintain independent living. Support is flexible and person-centred, but may include things like budgeting, including accessing money advice; developing life skills; achieving safety and security, and accessing other helpful services and opportunities. We are tendering this service under 2 Lots: 1) young people's support, including families supported housing; 2) 25+ support. Both lots will require the Provider to deliver flexible, multi-disciplinary support, as required by the presenting individual needs. This tender is for the provision of support services (to be delivered as floating support, and to supported accommodation); however the evaluation will consider the accommodation offers you will be making. We welcome partnership bids. Variant bids are also invited. To meet the unique and growing demand from young people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, in the context of a ‘Positive Pathway’ approach to supporting young people, this homelessness prevention support service is for people aged 16–25. This Lot will include young people's floating support and supported housing. It will also include units of supported accommodation for families (where the parent/s may be of any age). This Lot will be for people 25+, who may be single or part of a couple. It will include both floating support and supported housing, with the floating support element only also supporting people 25+ who may have dependent children.
